Lithuanian Amateur Radio Society (LRMD)Hello DXers,

In August 6th finished one month operation with special prefix LY755W. 19600 QSOs in LOG.
Thanks for contacts and great pileups sometime. Later will upload all LOG in LoTW.

For direct QSL please include 2$ or 1 IRC for postage in EU Union,3$ or 2 IRC air mail to rest of the world, other way will QSL to the bureau.
I am not so rich to pay for postage with included 1$.
You can imagine how many direct requests I must answer and pay my moneys for it.
If no postage please wait, some day will bureau QSL.

Firefighter Killed in Toronto Propane Explosion was Radio Amateur Print E-mail

Explosion frame from YouTubeBob Leek VE3TFD was a 25-year veteran of the Toronto Fire Department and lost his life in the response to the propane depot explosion that occurred on Sunday 10 August 2008.
Bob was a member of RAC, the South Pickering Amateur Radio Club and Durham Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES).

RAC offers its condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Mr. Leek.

Coco Keeling locationGiovanni, I5JHW, will be active as VK9CJW from Cocos Keeling island between August 22-29th.
His operation will be holiday style but with activity on 40/20/17/15/12/10 meters using SSB and RTTY.

He will be using an amplifier and a multi-band vertical antenna.
