Unfortunately the Ship ALFEREZ SOBRAL (ex-ATA-187 USS Salish) expecting to go to Isla de los Estados, had failures to one of its engines just before crossing the Strait of Le Maire, and it was forced to return to the Port of Ushuaia. The planned operation to San Juan de Salvamento Lighthouse is therefore cancelled LU2XT, reported that all the material loaded on board, necessary to complete the maintenance at the Lighthouse was downloaded from M/V Alférez Sobral .
No date is known for next attempt.
