The October 2009 Sable Island DXpedition team will be operating from Core Banks, IOTA NA-067, from 2300Z on April 30 to 1500Z on May 2.
We have already chartered a boat to take us and our gear over to the island.
This IOTA DXpedition will be a test of some of the equipment and antennas to be used this fall from Sable Island. Our primary objective is to compare the performance of our mono-band vertical antennas.
We also want to test out two of the three new Icom 756 Pro 111 transceivers to be used at Sable Island.
Core Banks makes a very good test site as it is very similar to the conditions we will encounter at Sable. The operators will be Randy N0TG, Ron AA4VK and Murray WA4DAN. For complete up-to-date information on this IOTA
