A group of 10 Spanish operators will activate Meda Gran Island (DIE E-001 for the Spanish Islands Award, MS-007 for the Mediterranean Islands Award and ARLHS SPA-161 [first activation]), August 25-26th.
This is a semi rare IOTA, but this island will become very difficult to obtain permissions to enter after 2008; the authorities will be closing the Park. The callsign will be EG3MED, and the team has permission to stay there for 2 complete days running with 2 complete stations. Activity will be on all bands, SSB and CW. The group will have 3 transceivers and a Yagi, dipoles and verticals. The team members are: EA2RC, EA3AGB, EA3CHZ, EA3ESZ, EA3FKX, EA3GHZ, EA3NM, EA5EOR, EB3GGU and EC7AKV. The QSL Manager is EA3GM, by the bureau or direct. A special QSL will be printed. [OPDX] |
