Bob N6OX and Bill, N2WB are well arrived in France.
Welcomed by Benoit, F8PDR, who lives near Saint-Lô, Manche department, they are visiting the WWII Landing beaches and Battles fields near Utah and Omaha beaches. They will return to Paris to morrow.
All the other members are joining themselves little by little and will be all together on Wednesday, for the Dxpedition dinner in Brie Comte Robert,Seine et Marne, in the evening.
The programm has been changed a little bit and the time table is now as follow:
Thursday Jan, 11th:
- at 0800 utc Orly airport : Departure
- at 1300 utc, landing in Dakar, Senegal and transfer to the Bissau plane.
- 1730 utc, takeoff to Bissau
- 1830 utc, landing at Bissau Airport
- After custom formalities and picking up the gear, going to the Bissau Harbor,
- Gear load on the boat and setting sail to Bubaque.
- Around 2200/2300 utc, arriving to Bubaque, landing and transfer to the Kasa Africana Hôtel.
Friday Jan, 12th
- around 0700/0800 utc, getting up and breakfast
- Settling the five stations. Note no signal beeing expected before the
whole five stations will be able to traffic. So look at the clusters
only in the evening.
Saturday Jan, 13th :
- First of the full traffic days.
Among the Dxpeditions records, compiled by G3OZF, , F6KOP holds 2 DX records by a Dxpedition, 7990 QSO’s in RTTY and 2346 QSO’s in PSK31, under XT2C in 2007.
I’l affraid these records could be broken and I’m sure that Jean Paul, F8BUI, digit leader will be very attentive to do.
