Isle of Man (EU-116) Kevan, 2E0WMG (G-21098) Matt 2E0XIS, James M0ZZO and Mark, M0MJH will be active from the Isle of Man (EU-116) from 27th April 2009.

There will be 4 full days of operation on most bands from 160m to 2m. Activity will be from various locations each day. Matt and James are keen SOTA enthusiasts and will be activating all five IOM SOTA Summits over two days on the 27th and 28th. They may be accompanied by Mark or Kevan on some or all of these summits.

Kevan and Mark will be taking the lead on HF operating from Point of Ayre, at the northern tip of the Island on the 29th where we plan to be active near the IOTA frequency of 14.160 MHz. When active on 80m we will normally be found around the ISWL net frequency of 3.685MHz. Operation on 40m will be 'wherever we can find a space' so is a bit more hit and miss'. Kevan hopes to call in to the ISWL net on the Tuesday 28th.

Of particular interest to monitor point chasers will be a chance to work affiliated Club Colchester Radio Amateurs (G-1118) with GT3CO, we will switch to this call if requested by ISWL members as long as a full licensee is present.

We also hope to be active on top band but can not say when at this point. League members are welcome to drop an email to Kevan to arrange a sked (email correct on QRZ.com). It should be noted however that as all operation will be out in the open the weather and various other factors may hamper our ability to keep to skeds but we will do our best.

The team will be firming up operating arrangements on the ferry and Kevan will update his 2D0WMG QRZ.com page upon arrival at the hotel.
