Operators Tomi/HA7RY and George/AA7JV are expected to leave Cairns on September 22nd on the Motor Vessell Varzin (with George skippering), and hope to commence an operatio on Willis on September 25th. Their callsign will VK9WWI.
QSL via HA7RY.
LATEST NEWS: George states that he is leaving for Australia this afternoon (Sept. 11, 2007) . “We are in a decent shape: our gear has made it and the boat is on its way north (from the Gold Coast). Due to logistics issues and problems with one of the boat’s engines, we will be staging out of Airlie Beach, instead of Cairns. We still expect to arrive at Willis on Sep 24 and be on the air by Sep 25.” George has indicated that the dates are weather dependent and may slip. Stay tuned for further updates.
