The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service has announced that they would once again allow amateur radio operators an opportunity to operate from Midway Atoll "on a trial basis".
To ensure the safety of the wildlife on the Refuge, the USFWS said that Amateur Radio operations will bepermitted for two weeks only, from 5 to 19 October 2009.
