On the 30th of December 2007, Petrus 3Y0E and Rhynhardt ZS6DXB had a conversation via satellite phone. Petrus was happy to confirm that the radio and antenna is working. He made a couple of contacts on the 30th of December with ZS and PY stations. He also reported that he heard a lot of contest activity on Saturday the 29th of December from South America.

Rhynhardt ZS6DXB and Petrus 3Y0E will be trying a new strategy to get 3Y0E into pileups. 3Y0E will until further notice call CQ between 16:00 and 17:30 Zon 14.200 MHz only. 3Y0E will work simplex until Petrus get more acquainted with the radio equipment. Please note that no pre-arranged skeds "contacts" can be arranged with 3Y0E.

Petrus has still got some e-mail problems and we are hoping to resolve them speedily. As soon as they are resolved we will publish the 3Y0E logbook on the website, http://3y0e.com/
