All ham radio operators stand by:
PLEASE HELP TO SPREAD THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE:
According to Chinese Radio Sports Association, 14.270Mhz, 7.050 and 7.060 Mhz are reserved for amateur radio emergency service in the rescue.
Please spread this message as far as you can and keep the frequencies clean for emergency use.

We have confirmation from the authorities in charge of Marion Island that there is infact communications issues on the Island.

KL7, ALASKA (IOTA and USI Op). Look for Michael, K6UMO, to be active as K6UMO/KL7 from several Alaskan islands between September 15-20th. He will be on a cruise ship that stops at all of these islands.
He will take an ICOM IC-703+ with him and will try to transmit from each island for as long as the ship is in harbor (or until dinner time).

The Italian crew, led by Giovanni/IK1WEG, ( with Davide/IW1DQS, Gerry/IZ1DSH, Giorgio/IZ1DXS, Riccardo/IZ1GDB, Willy/IZ1HGM and Claudio/IZ1JMV ) will be active, airing three stations from St. Honorat, Lerins Islands (EU-058) on 17-18 May.
The special callsign asked is TM0IL, but at the moment the authorisation is always pending.

Look for Harry, AC8G to be active as FJ/AC8G from St. Barthelemey Island (NA-146, WLOTA LH-0377) from May 22-27th. QRV SSB only 160 to 6 meters. Please avoid asking for band changes, schedules and other interruptions especially if he is running well.

Starting on May 15th in the afternoon until May 23rd, a French team led by Tony, F8ATS, will go to St Mary's, Isles of Scilly (EU-011, WW Loc. IN69UV). On May 15th (2000z-2230z) they plan to be QRV from Penzance (WW Loc. IN79JX), and the Lizard Point (Cornwall) lighthouse (ARLHS ENG-068), both on 144 MHz (50W and 2x4el) and 40m (50W with battery and mobile vertical antenna).

CG2I, IOTA : NA-128 C.IS.A. : PQ-010 GRID : FN47
CG2I will be only the second operation from Grosse-Ile, QC (PQ-010). The first operation was CI0GI in July 1990. During the 72 hours of activities, 4 operators and 2 stations, CI0GI made 7 300 QSO on CW and SSB. No 6 meters,WARC, 160 meters and digital mode contact was made during this operation.
